OUR COFFEE PARTNERS

Empower Coffee Roasters is proud to source beans from AMACA (Asociación de Mujeres Productoras Agropecuarias del Cauca), a group of women producers located in El Tambo, Cauca, Colombia.   A premium is paid to AMACA above the value of the coffee to support their farm and improve the quality of life of its members.

The collective was formed in 1999 with 80 members and has since grown to over 140 active members across three villages in El Tambo. The average farm sizes is over 5,000 trees per member. In 2010, an organization called "Social Action" provided the farms with new wet mills and processing tanks, which significantly improved both the quantity and quality of their coffees.

A need that exists at the moment is warehouse space to receive, cup, manage and store their coffees. We hope that the more we can buy from these farms, the quicker they can meet their needs for warehouse space.
